ABOUT THE CIRCUIT
Ground was broken in December 2002. The 5.412km track was designed by Hermann Tilke on a blank, sandy canvas in the Sakhir desert.
The inaugural race was held in 2004, won by Michael Schumacher. It has been a fixture on the F1 calendar ever since.
Bahrain offers great racing under floodlights with plenty of overtaking opportunities. The most challenging point is the tight Turn 10 left-hander. Wide temperature fluctuations between sessions make car setup a key factor.
Bahrain is one of the most spectator-friendly races on the calendar. The night race atmosphere under the desert sky is unlike anything else in F1. Beyond the track, Bahrain offers world-class resorts and hospitality.
The Paddock Club above the pit lane offers the ultimate view. For grandstand tickets, the Main Grandstand gives you start/finish action while the Beyon Grandstand offers a panoramic view of the entire circuit.
